• This web site is devoted to giving the chronically ill patient personal access to naturopathic medicine. Dr. Jan Valchar has been a registered doctor of naturopathy since 1981 in the province of Ontario, Canada. His particular forte is the integration of naturopathic procedures into a therapy called Bio-Cybernetic Therapy (BCT).

• BCT views the patient as a totality of psychological and physical functions, but primarily as a cybernetic system which can work perfectly when the internal functions are normally active. Illness within this system is seen as a malfunction of energy creation and distribution. This concept is not new but Dr. Valchar employs this model in a unique way, which enables treatment to proceed in an orderly critical path beginning with a hierarchy of causes. Health is returned by reactivation and clearing of bio-pathways in the body. The focus is placed on one or more of the organ systems and their primary blockages.

• Establishment of this list of causes enables accurate selection of remedies and treatment procedures. It is the inability of patients to take this first step that leads to failed treatments.
